When I talk about embodiment sometimes people get a little confused. I can understand why – embodiment is a term that’s thrown around a lot [often incorrectly].
So let me clarify what I mean.
Embodiment is NOT about trying to ‘take in’ more of something else.
Embodiment is NOT about:
- Saying I want to be happier, so let me try to bolster more happiness.
- Thinking I want to look sexier, so let me try to act more sexual.
- Wishing I could be more confident, so let me [ignore the feeling that I’m a total fake and] put my best smile on…
These attempts are noble. But this “type” of embodiment is like trying to plant a new garden, in a bed of cement.
It’s not going to work.
The soil isn’t fertile.
The foundation hasn’t been prepared.
There is no DEPTH for these new desires to take hold.
Genuine embodiment happens when we stop trying to be something else. And we willingly begin to allow, embrace and embody what is.
Sounds easy enough. Yet few of us are willing to dive into our emotional embodiment & open our full heart to feel. Or to dive into our sensual embodiment & open our full womb to pleasure.
I put my hand up in that category.
Once upon a time, my heart was numb disconnected from passion and purpose.
Not that many years ago I didn’t even resonate with the word WOMB (even though I have one physically & energetically).
Yet now – having learnt the true practice of embodiment – I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The authentic modern spiritual woman is NOT looking to ‘take in’ more of something else. She’s ready to dive into HERSELF, and liberate the constrictions that keep her from EMBODYING the FULL BRILLIANCE that she (already) is.
